Final time in Cairns, near the end now probably LOL

Hello hello hello littles cuties, how are my little Blogger Readers today?

I personally am very stressed! I recently made a very terrible financial decision and purchased a car that really isn't worth the money. Long story short, I bought a car from another backpacker with both the Road Worthy Certificate and Registration still intact, but uh oh! Turns out buddy had hit a wallaby, and now theres a big hole in the front of the car. No big deal I thought, it's only cosmetic and doesn't affect the actual mechanics of the car, he's had it checked out recently. Just have to transfer the registration to me and we'll be set! Well, APPARENTLY, since I don't have a NSW license, I just straight up can't. It just won't work. And since buddy hit a wallaby AFTER the roadworthy certification, I'll have to get ANOTHER one done if I want QLD plates on the car. And to top it all off, I really really want to leave ASAP. I've only got 1 or 2 months left in Australia and I want to get on the road and see the cool things I haven't seen yet :(



Honestly that's one of the hardest things right now, is looking back at my time here, and feeling like shit about all the cool things I could've done, but just haven't. I really thought I'd have the time to explore Australia at my leisure right now, but as far as its going now? I'll have maybe a 3rd of the time I wanted. Just feeling really bad for now. Real depressed. Probably my rockest bottom moment, but breaking my foot was really bad too haha. Idk trying to stay positive but for now my anxiety is

I've written about this before on here in my SECRET tabs that you SHOULDN'T have looked at, but I've been dating someone for about a month and a half now? More or less? Her name is Alice and she's Australian and she's very cool and I like her very much. Here is a photo of us together. We made mac n cheese the other night and it was great even if we didn't have Monterey Jack cheese (epic australia fail). Me and the boys went to freaking Paronella Park the other day and it was SICK, its this super cool old castle built in the middle of the jungle and its super rad. The family that owns it and runs it has done the best they can to preserve it, and while a lot of it has been destroyed, a lot of the old structures are still standing and look so freaking cool covered in brush and moss, here's some sweet pics:
And then we went to Etty bay to try and spot some cassowaries, but of course we didn't see any. At least not until we were driving back, and then I screamed as we almost crashed into:


This is probably one of my favorite things thats happened on this trip so far. I love cassowaries and seeing one right in front of us was so cool. We got to drive beside it for a minute or two before it dipped into the brush. It even looked at us and omg it was TERRIFYING I LOVED IT. I was so hyped when we saw it and it made my day so much better omg, absolutely crazy.


But uhhhh yeah, my last day of work is the 11 of August, I'm gonna try to fix this stupid car, then do my last little lap across Australia :)

This year has gone by so fast, and with only 2 months left, I'm almost ready to come home. There's still alot of stuff I wanna see, but if I can see even half of it, I'll be happy :)
