Rock and Stone it's Port Macquarie (get it cause it sounds like quarry where u find rocks and stones okay nvm)

Howdy doody everyone it's your FAVORITE neocities blog-haver Brocklan Dunkin coming back at you with another SICK blog update!

Firstly, I would like to update you on my Christmas here in Australia. To be totally honest, on Christmas Eve, I was expecting it go along try not to cry But to my whimsy and benefit they did not go this way!

Since I was in Australia for Christmas this year, and the temperature was shaping up to be in the high 20s, all I wanted to do was have a sick barbecue and go to the beach (preferably at the same time). My Christmas wishes were granted with the help of my lovely friends at the hostel I was staying at for the 1st week while I was here in Port Macquarie. They invited me to join them for a sickass barbecue and I had so much friggin meat and bbq'd cheese and veggies and stuff it was AWESOME. We followed up the barbecue with a trip down to the beach where we all took a nice Christmas Swim, it was super nice and I'm super grateful to those nice young people at the hostel :)

I also had a very nice Christmas breakfast courtesy of the local church's volunteer program where they had a free breakfast feast for anyone at the beach in the morning. Being totally alone until the afternoon when the bbq was happening, I happily took full advantage and got some classes british Beans on Toast, Toad in a Hole, and eventually some pancakes with maple syrup :)

The nights surrounding Christmas were really nice too, I went for a bike ride on Christmas eve and the moon was beautiful over the ocean. Here's some photos but my shitty phone camera really doesn't do the real deal justice.

But yes, I do now have a bike, and that means that as of now I have decided to stay in Port Macquarie for the summer! The town is very pretty, and I'm very excited to be hitting the beaches as much as possible :) I've got a nice little roomshare in a house with 3 roommates now, and now all that's left is to get a job. I've applied for quite a few places around town, and a couple got back to me, but I think due to the Christmas/New Year season, most management teams are super busy and don't have time to go through new applicants (or so I've been told from the places that contacted me back). So we'll see how that goes, otherwise it'll be Hungry Jack's for me ahaha ;-;

Speaking of the bike, I'm super excited to ride it around during the summer! It's too small for me (no shocker) but I got it from the nicest Australian family who actually lived in Whistler for 10 years omg they were so cool. I've already got it decked out with my lights from my homie Jon (ily king) and a friggin CLOWN HORN omg it's so fun. I love riding by people and instead of warning them with a gentle ring, they get a blast of this.

I actually got caught in a lightning storm while riding my bike, and it was frigging SCARY. I had to take shelter in this little auction warehouse, and the lightning was so frigging close outside, freaky as hell. Once it was over though, it was just a HUGE pain in the ass getting soaked while biking home. No fun!

Some other cool things that have happened since I've been in Port Macquarie: I saw a BIG LIZARD when working out as can be seen here:
lizerd I saw another Huntsman spider, although he was pretty small I think? Smaller than some of the biggest Giant House Spiders I've seen in Canada which I'm honestly grateful for, ty spiders, my roommate even tried clapping it with his hands he was so unafraid, what a champ.

surf chad

I've made somewhat good friends with a french surf instructor so I'll probably take some surf lessons from her this summer, very much looking forward to that 8)

But otherwise yeah! Nothing else super crazy atm :) I am doing well, melting my brain with more coding as usual, just having a nice time here where it's either 30 degrees or storming :)

Okay see u later everyone ily all hope the northern hemisphere is treating u well.

it's claus!
