WEEK 2 of having a fricked up foot. I am still unhappy. I still can't go very far. My game is still unfinished (more updates below!). BUT! I went back for another appointment, and tbh
while they couldn't find any differences in scans :/ they DID say I am allowed to start putting more weight on my foot and start walking on my toes again without muy boot after this weekend! Nice! I probably
shouldn't be doing this, but I will be returning to work starting this Monday. I like to have money, and I really really want to get out of the house, but if my foot starts hurting really bad again, I'll
unfortunately have to call it again and return to sitting on my ass all the time :( Oh well! I'm giving it a try, and will hopefully not injure myself any further.
Anyways I really don't have much else to say :/ Nothing has happened! I have worked on my game a bit, so here's some more development art!
Here is a boss named The Astral Dancer. I picked the name because it sounds cool, but apparently it's also an old D+D prestige class, very cool! Last post I called her Lady Gears, but that's old news, now
she is the Astral Dancer. Here are some pictures and gifs of her in some attack poses. Please especially enjoy the super crusty, mega-crushed GBA ass gif I crunched down to make more spacially conscious :)
Like the name suggest, I've decided on going with an astral theme for her fight. The background will likely be more high res versions of the pictures below, and I'll get one of my friends to lend me their
talents and compose some cool space music, it'll be sick. Really looking forward to how she turns out.
He moveset is mostly generic sword swings and stuff, as she's the first moveset I designed and as such the one where I had the least idea what I was doing. All her moves are based off ballet sequences tho,
so I feel like that gives her a less generic appearance.
Anyways, here's Mr. Fruits. I'm not updating his name because I think it's funny in its simplicity. Here's the one animation I've made for him where he just floats up and down (fun fact this image put me
over the 1% mark of how much storage space I've used on this website LOL).
He fills the role of a magician/wizard type character. Right now I plan on giving him 2 phases, one where he mostly ignores you and just drops fruit on your head, and then a 2nd phases where he uses his
banana as a wand and uses spells like "Berry Blast" and tries faking you out all while still trying to drop fruit on your head. This is probably going to be a pain in the ass to program, but I'm prepared for
it. Programming this game so far has been a huge pain in the ass, but it works for the most part and I am very happy about it! Otherwise his theme is just Fruit. You fight him in the Fruit Void. It'll be awesome.
The last idea I have for a boss is just going to be a static image of a dolphin or dog or something, whatever I have more stock images of, and they just do one enormous combo you have to memorize.
I simultaneously think this is super lazy and super funny on my end as a designer, it takes much less effort (I hope) than the other 2 bosses, but it'll be so funny for players to fight in my opinion.
No actual images of this one yet, but heres my inspiration for it.
And finally, the main character! She is a cowboy with a sword. She's fucking cool as hell and I love her. I was super frustrated with how she was turning out for almost the whole day I was making her, but
in the end she ended up in a way I'm very happy with. No poses yet, so here's some default poses LOL. She is also a sword-wielder tho and will deflect attacks as well as hit back with her sick sword.
