Yo uhhhh haha, whats going ON friends and family, hope you are all doing WELL.

So as you can probably tell by the title, I have made a severe and instantaneous lapse in judgement and have consequently broken my foot. Which SOUNDS very dramatic, but luckily it's not that bad, gotcha haha

But uhh yeah I did actually fracture my heel apparently. According to the xrays, there's not a clearly visible fracture in the heel, which is good! But according to the orthopaedic doctor they had on staff that day, it's like 99% for sure fractured PLUS apparently my tibia/fibia could also be fractured :) Lovely!!!! Needless to say I've been stuck at home for the past week wearing my giant Hellboy Boot and generally being sad. BUT! I'm getting better, I always get super depressed when I'm stuck inside/in the same spot for a period of time, but it's very quickly giving way to positivity finally :) I'll be going in for a CT scan and stuff this coming Tuesday, so will keep ya'll updated if it's for sure a fracture, if it's worse, or if it's nothing and I'm actually fine.

If you're wondering how it happened, candidly I tried to hop off a tall rock and completely botched the landing but for insurance purposes I slipped while climbing down a rock while hiking along the beach and landed with all my weight on my heel by accident. I also did that last Sunday, so I walked on my tippy toes for a whole week before realizing "man, this isn't getting better!" and then going to the hospital. Now I'm using crutches as well just to keep all the weight off my foot, doctor's orders. It's no fun at all, but my heel is WAY less swollen than it was before, so it's obviously working!

So yeah, sorry but not much for updates today other than the heel. Something cool that's happened today is that TEKKEN 8 released! Wow! Can't wait to not play it! Ifyou own a PS5 or Xbox Series Whatever and feel sorry that I broke my foot, you can make me feel better by purchasing and playing TEKKEN 8. It looks super fun, I really wanna try Reina and Azucena because they look like really fun evolutions of my Tekken 7 mains (Miguel and Lucky Chloe respectively). I'd also be super down to try Jack-8 just because Jack-7 was super fun, but he's also ugly af in this game? So I'm way more hesitant to play him.


Speaking of video games though, since I've had so much time to do diddly squat, I've been working hard on another game! It's a Sekiro style game all about parrying sword strikes and knocking the wind out of your opponent! It's super bare bones right now, but the base of the coding I think is done, I'll just have to noodle around with it for some specific characters and their moves :) I've mostly been working on character art lately, so instead of just boring code to show off, here are some slightly more interesting boss renders!
For now they are called Mr Fruits and Lady Gears. I'll come up with better names eventually, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out :) I think Mr Fruits still needs some work on his textures, but Lady Gears is basically good to go. They're both boss designs for the game, and if I had a main character design ready I'd show it off I swear! But I haven't made one yet. I'll probably only make the one MC design and then one more boss just to keep the project pretty light weight. This is my first time making a game using actual code and not just drag-and-drop logic software (RPGMaker is gas tho don't let anyone else tell u otherwise) so I don't wanna make it too horribly complex LOL. Once I have a demo I'll be sure to link it on this website somewhere.

I've also been reading Harry Potter for the first time. It's alright. I can see why so many people like it though, it's like the ultimate escapist fantasy, I get how every kid who read these books wanted to be Harry Potter, dude literally shows up at Hogwarts and starts winning at everything it's sick for him.

But yeah! That's really all I've got for today. Sorry for nothing cool this time, like I said I really haven't been able to do anything super neat as of late and don't want to fill this update with just 10 paragraphs of me complaining (I could do it too, I LOVE complaining), so I'm calling it here! Bye bye and have a good friday or whatever it is when this comes out, I go sleep now.
