Goodbye Port Macquarie, thanks for the broken foot (it's healed btw)

*Throws of cloak dramatically* AHAHA! The invisible hole in your life this whole time was ME, LACHLAN. Hope you're ready for a lovely NEW BLOG POST full of HOT TAKES, HOT BABES, and even HOT DOGS.
line of somekind idk yet
Where to even start since last time Oh My Goodness Gracious. I guess good news first, my foot is now healed! Yay! I've been taking precautions to NOT break it again, and so far it's going very well :)
I was able to do a whole bunch of work without gravely injuring myself and made enough money to sustain me for the nest little while.

Of course though, as I'm sure you can tell by the title, my job at Little Turkey is no more :( They paid me what they owed me and the other staff and I had a touching little hug goodbye and now I will never see them again. Baz if u ever read this I hope your little chicken legs get huge from the gym.

Some other interesting news, a couple days after I posted my previous blog post back in february...., I got banned from the hostel my friends were all staying at LOL. It was however entirely justified: the owner had a no-visiting policy in place that we basically blatantly ignored for over a month before we finally met face to face one night on accident. He was super chill about it though, and simply said "Oh yeah mate sorry gonna have to ask you to leave, had some nasty visitors a while ago so now we don't allow any etc etc..." and didn't really care to much about me lingering a bit before I left. However I was told afterwards that if I ever came back the police could get involved and that is a risk I am NOT willing to take LMAO. So that kind of crapped on my social life for a bit, but I got some good hangouts and parties in that weren't at the hostel, so that was nice. Still was super funny though. Also gave me a lot of time to work on...:

MY GAME!! Also now known as:
It's done. I finished it. All I need to now is export it so that the videos I added in work, and then make a mobile port so my friends without computers can play it. Which all sounds like a lot, but I think it should be pretty easy, I'll just have to rebind some actions to screen taps instead of keyboard presses.
So now you might be asking: "Lachlan, do you have cool footage of this game you can show us????" HAHAHHAHA of course not, why would I? But I have something else: here's the game's manual, that describes all the characters and gameplay mechanics :)

But getting back on track, Port Macquarie is DONE. I'm FED UP WITH IT, and it's time to move on and do my 88 days of regional work. Port was lovely, it was terrible, but I'll always remember it as the place I saw a Koala for the first time in the wild and also broke my foot in Australia. It was kind of sad to leave my friends behind because of course it is, but God I needed to leave that town, what a happiness sink it can be, stg, nasty little town sometimes.

We did have some good times before I left though. On St. Paddy's we went to go see a live show a the Irish pub and it was super rad, they had local Australian bands playing and they were all either super chilled out, or they were super hyped up and it was fantastic either way.

We also did a sick beach day and I got to do the 2.5 hour coastal walk which was RAD. It was a pilgrimage to the lighthouse but it was worth it, felt like a very fitting send off to the town for some reason. Also just generally goofed around, played some pool, danced at a couple shows, had a good time :) Was lovely.

But what now?

So so so, like I said above, now I am trying to head North in a pilgrimage to find my 88 days of regional work. My 1st stop was the fabulous Byron Bay, ooooohhh!!! It was alright LOL. I was only there for 3 nights and that was a perfect amount. It for sure earns its reputation as the Hippie Party Town though, omg. After a very poor sleep on a Greyhound bus I arrived at the Arts Factory hostel at around 10:00am (I think?) and you KNOW people were already toking up.
It was also just huge parties in town every night, and if that's your thing, good for you, nice job stimulating the pub economy, but I think I've learned about myself that partying isn't a hobby for me. Like don't get me wrong it's fun AF a lot of nights, but doing it as a raison d'ĂȘtre is not for me. Sure was for those Byron folks tho and it got old pretty fast for me. Luckily there was other fun stuff to do, like surfing and hiking which was a ton of fun, here are some epic pictures of me surfing and the cool lighthouse sunset I saw :)

Next up though was Surfer's Paradise and it was just a big party district as well. Nothing crazy, I explored the area pretty thoroughly and there wasn't anything super neat there except for this: idk2

haha heehee :)

But anyways, next up is Cairns! I WILL find a job, and it will be epic and it will be fun.
I know my friend Pato that I mentioned way back in my first couple posts loved it there, so hopefully I'll have a similar experience. I'm hoping to actually do the fun stuff I wanted to do in Port Mac before I broke my foot, like martial arts and hiking and stuff.

Recently though, I've been thinking a bit about my future and what I want to do. I still don't know what I want to take for a career path at this point, but a couple options are open for me: of course there's my old job as a production assistant or something for an animation studio. I'm toying with the idea of doing live event stuff still, as I think it would be a cool way to work in "The Arts" without sitting at a computer for 8+ hours a day. And I'm also just toying with the idea of picking up some random grunt work that pays reasonably well. I think I'd be happy as long as I have enough money to do the things I want and the freedom to do what I want with it. But then again I don't even know if I'll settle back down in Vancouver at this point LOL. I know I'd like to return to Canada, but I'm not sure I'd stay in the city or if I'd want to move around. I love my family dearly and know I want to be able to see them, but by the same merit, I've had a taste of the freedom of travel and now want to be able to experience that more frequently. But also I know that Monster Hunter Wilds is coming out next year and I really want to be able to play that and AGH, I'm at a bit of a crossroads atm at the moment if u catch my drift if ya feel me if ya know what I'm sayin.

Oh well, I'll figure it out.

Anyways, that's gonna do it for 2day. I've got a flight to catch in a couple hours and I need to back my stuff back up. Hope ya'll have a good day, ty guys for ur time, luv u :)
