I'm Blue Mountains da ba dee da ba die

THE BLUE MOUNTAINS ARE SO GOOD EVERYONE HOLY CRAP I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LIVE THERE IF GIVEN THE CHANCE

It's actually kind of insane how nice the Blue Mountains are. My newest big recommendation for anyone going to Australia, is that while you're in Sydney, take a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains. It's only a 2 hour trainride, the main town of Katoomba has an Aldi and grocery stores and stuff, and it's so freaking beautiful..... This is like a top 5 places in Australia in my opinion, this place rules.

Unforuntaly I'm not there anymore, but god I wish I could've stayed longer. Unfortunately it was time for me to hit the road. I've only been away 1 day and my legs are still sore from all the hiking.

• Did you know? That basically EVERY HIKE has a crap-ton of stairs. There's a reason my legs are sore and it's because I've been hitting the stairmaster for at least 4 hours each day
• Probably the best hike you can do is the Grand Canyon Walking Track It's so freaking pretty, it's like walking through a hidden valley untouched by man despite the fact you ware walking on an extremely well maintained trail LOL.
• The OTHER THING is that all the trails are really well maintained. Pretty much any trail you pick that's looked after by the local councils will be super well maintained, have good footpaths, and nice lookouts marked for you to see :)
• It ended up getting down to 3 degrees one night so I stayed in one of the NICEST HOSTELS IVE STAYED IN. Blue Mountains YHA is the absolute best hostel you can stay in, it feels like an old ski lodge and it's super cozy and the kitchen is real good and it's great.
• Also fun fact, there's a couple trains/busses that go from Sydney to the Blue Mountains, so it's super easy to go explore if you're in the area!!!

But yeah BASICALLY the Blue Mountains are like the best place ever and you should 100% go if you're in Sydney, take the train and head on up it's glorious.

and now that last picture MIGHT look like a bunch of nothing, but it is in reality a bunch of cave glow worms!! If you open the picture in a new tab you should be able to see little white dots all over the photo. Those are the worms! They're so freaking cool, it was like this huge dark cave, pitch black in the middle, but when you turned you flashlight off and stayed quiet for a minute, all these little blue dots would show up on the wall like stars, it was AMAZING.

I am currently trapped in Narooma! This place is absolutely the worst and I feel sick every day and I haven't slept well in a week.



For some context, you may know that I have purchased a 2010 Subaru Outback a while ago so I could do a sick multi-month roadtrip around Australia. Well, that was going just SUPER until a couple days ago, the poor thing decided she wanted to overheat. CONSTANTLY. at first it wasn't so bad, y'know, after 5 hours of driving up big hills and stuff I understand she'd get a bit hot, she's got a lot of kilometers on her, but I literally cannot drive on the highway for more than 5 minutes now without her overheating.

So I managed to make it to a campsite near Narooma last Saturday night, and have been staying there since. Since it was the long weekend, I had to wait until Tuesday to get my car even looked at, and it was immediate bad news. Apparently I had a cracked head gasket and the only solution was to drain all the coolant, clean out the system, and then try this Chemiweld crap to see if it would fix the cracks. So I tried this by myself as per the mechanic's instructions, but with my luck I ended up stripping the screw needed to drain the coolant and had to run the Chemiweld on a dirty coolant system, and that of course didn't work. So now the mechanic's gonna take the thermostat out and try to brute force the Chemiweld process.

finger crossed it works because I really have no idea what I'm gonna do if it doesn't ;P

On the cool side though I've seen some cool seals and the beach is pretty here and stuff. Not bad at all. I'm just feeling like garbage. I'm sick of camping. My tummy hurts every day. I just wanna get out of here or go home and play Oblivion and eat home cooking. I'm totally fine eating slop of my pot but I'm genuinely sick of it now, I want REAL food aghhhhhhhh.....

Anyways I'm gonna leave now and go eat, hope ur day is going LOVELY I cannot wait to leave here.
